Richard is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service. Over the years, he has:

  • Served as Past-President of the National Advertising Benevolent Society and been inducted into the Canadian Advertising Hall of Honor.
  • Chaired campaigns and served as a volunteer for organizations including the Union Gospel Mission, Arts Umbrella, Opera Kelowna, and the Nicola Valley Food Bank.
  • Founded 100 Kids Who Care Kelowna and supported 100 Men Who Care, initiatives empowering young people and communities to give back.
  • Created a sustainable giving program that donates $500 per transaction to a client’s charity of choice — generating more than $150,000 in donations across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico

Recognized as a finalist for the City of Kelowna’s Fred Macklin Community Man of the Year Award and multiple Realtors Who Care Awards, he approaches business and philanthropy with a belief that success should always be shared.

Richard is also the founder of his Client Thank You Program, a long-standing initiative that donates $500 from every completed transaction to a charity chosen by his clients. To date, this program has contributed more than $150,000 to registered Canadian charities.

Fluent in English and French, and working toward Spanish, Richard brings a global outlook to his work, while being fully grounded in the Okanagan lifestyle he loves. A passionate cook, wine enthusiast, and curator of one of Canada’s largest private vintage tequila collections, he’s as comfortable hosting clients over a tasting as he is meeting them on the side of a mountain trail.

Outside of real estate, Richard is usually skiing, mountain biking, or hiking, often turning the outdoors into his informal boardroom. Wherever he travels, he makes it a mission to find the best local espresso and croissants.

This broader perspective also extends to his professional life. As Co-founder of TIGER 21 Canada — a global network for ultra-high-net-worth families with more than 800 members and collective assets exceeding $90B — Richard helps foster conversations around investment strategy, wealth preservation, family legacy, and philanthropy.
